Home Exercise

Regular exercise after your surgery is crucial to regaining mobility and flexibility to your knee. Your surgeon may recommend that you complete several exercises at home 3-4 times per day as well as engage in a specific walking program to get you moving around better and faster. They may suggest some of the exercises below:

KNEE EXTENSIONS

Place a pillow under your knee and lift your foot off the mat

ANKLE PUMPS

Keep leg straight on the mat and flex ankle up and down

LEG LIFTS

Keep leg straight on the mat and raise leg 6 inches above the mat while keeping the knee straight

QUADRICEPS SETS

Keep leg straight and place a rolled towel under your ankle. Tighten thigh muscles and hold for 5 seconds
